It’s easy to support Ammar Campa-Najjar over Duncan Hunter. Hunter, an incumbent who has been indicted on corruption charges, is a corporate-funded climate-change-denier whose Food Policy Action score was 20 out of 100.
Ammar’s climate platform covers the two most important aspects of a meaningful climate action plan: 1) stop burning fossil fuels–he supports the “transition to 100% renewable energy”; and 2) draw carbon down from the atmosphere–he’s only candidate we know of who’s talking about biochar.
Plus, Ammar can’t be bought. He won’t take a dime of corporate PAC money.
